På Reilu PhoneFix, we aim to extend the useful life of mobile phones and reduce unnecessary electronic waste through repair, component replacement and responsible handling of parts that can no longer be reused.
Repairing a device can help extend its useful life and reduce the need to replace the entire device.
Where technically and economically appropriate, we repair or replace individual components rather than replacing the complete device.
Phone repairs can generate electronic waste, including:
We keep relevant electronic and battery waste separate from ordinary waste and arrange its handling through appropriate waste-management and recycling channels.
Damaged and replaced phone batteries are handled separately because batteries require appropriate collection and recycling.
We do not place used lithium-ion phone batteries in ordinary mixed waste.
Where a component or device is still suitable for safe reuse, we aim to avoid unnecessary disposal.
Functional components may be retained for appropriate repair or reuse, subject to their condition and suitability.
Components that are damaged or unsuitable for reuse are directed to appropriate recycling or waste treatment.
When a component cannot reasonably be reused or recycled, it is handled through an appropriate waste-management route in accordance with applicable Finnish requirements.
Our objective is to minimise unnecessary waste while ensuring that repair-related waste is handled safely and responsibly.
If a customer leaves a device with us for repair, recycling or disposal, the handling of the device is separate from the customer’s personal data.
Customers should always create a backup and remove personal information before handing over a device whenever possible.
For devices that are intended to be discarded or recycled, customers should ensure that they have transferred any data they wish to keep.
Repair. Reuse. Recycle.
We believe responsible repair is an important part of extending the life of electronic devices and reducing unnecessary electronic waste.
